Making Furiosa - the corset
![]() FURIOSA FRIDAY !! I`m making imperator Furiosa from Mad Max- Fury Road. This is how I made the corset. ![]() I based Furiosas corset on the Simplicity 9769 pattern. I love this pattern and it fits me very well, but you can use any corset pattern as base. Sew Curvy has made an awesome tutorial on the Simplicity 9769 pattern. You can find that here. I did more or less follow the tutorial, although I did some changes to the pattern. ![]() Furiosas corset is an underbust corset and it has no colosing in the front, so I had to alter the pattern to fit that style. I removed the space for the busk in front and shortened the pattern. ![]()

Making Furiosa - the pants
Its #FuriosaFriday and that means more Furiosa stuff! This is how I made the pants. I dont like using pant and I dont have much experience with sewing them. I therefore decided to base Furiosas pants pattern on som ordinary trouser pattern from the store. Here is a good tutorial for sewing pants. It helped me alot. I made a muslin (test model) to check the fit of the pattern. There is no point making the first test with two legs. Save fabric and money and make one.

The character you’ve cosplayed that’s the most similar to you.
![]() Day 6 of the #20daycosplaychallenge: The character you’ve cosplayed that’s the most similar to you. This is a hard one. I think maby it is Poison Ivy. You know, that super sexy ecco terrorist from Gotham:P I’m not similar to her in a sexy or evil way, but I`m totaly obsess with my plants. My flat is a jungel. I worry about them when I’m not at home and cry if they die. I love my planst so much! Urban farming is my lifestyle….. and yeah, I read books and comics for my babys <3

Day 4: Cheapest vs. Most expensive cosplay!
I`m back on the #20daycosplaychallenge Ariel vs Belle ![]() Photo by John Arne Johnsen Photography Ariel from The Little Mermaid, sail dress version, was realy cheep. The “dress” was made from an old curtain (left behind by the previous owners of my apartment) The wig was one of my old Poison Ivy wigs and I made the starfish from clay. I found the dinglehopper in my kitchen drawer. ![]() Photo by Heresetai cosplay Belle from Beauty and the Beast is by now my most expensive cosplay. I have redon here a couple of times and gone through three wigs. I`m starting to be satisfied with the result;)

The Handmaid’s Tale
![]() I read the The Handmaid’s tale by Margaret Atwood when I was 15. It’s the scaryest book I’ve ever read. Now the TV series has come to Hulu ( HBO Nordic if you`re in Norway like me) Its amazingly good, terribly dark, but very very good. Do the world a favor and and se the series or read the book. I made this cosplay when the trailer for the TV series aired. Now that I have seen the first episodes, I’m going to make some changes to the costume later on. ![]() Anyway this is how I made my handmaid’s tale cosplay.
